Wow, this is really nice. Jonas Samson has designed wallpaper that when turned off looks like regular wallpaper, but when turn on it illuminates. No need for lamps any more.

“With Jonas Samson’s high-tech light-emitting wallpaper it’s possible to use a two-dimentional flat surface as light source instead of a 3D object.
As long as the wallpaper is turned ‘off’, it is indistinguishable as a source of light. Instead, it is just what it appears to be: wallpaper.”

Pretty awesome I think. I just hope it doesn’t cost alot.

iZ3D is the world’s first 3D monitor designed for games. Can you imagine? Being able to play your favorite games in 3D? You will need to buy their monitor and 3D glasses. No not the red and blue ones that hurt your face. They actually have some cool, “new technology” glasses. Then just install their drivers and you are good to go. Here is a list of supported games. Sorry, they don’t really give me much else to work on other than that. There is no worry of me getting one soon though because of their $700 monitor, but it’s still neat to know.

Marshall Kirkpatrick over at ReadWriteWeb has gave us seven tips for making the most of your RSS Reader. Personally I use Google Reader in addition to iGoogle and I think it’s great. But check out these tips, I know I will use a few for myself. Also remember to add seeingblue to your RSS reader.

“RSS is a big deal, as anyone who’s subscribed to even a few feeds probably knows. Once you get past just a few feeds, though, it can quickly get overwhelming. RSS can leave you feeling inadequate, brain-dead and uninspired.”

ScienceDaily has post an article tell us how Geologist’s discovered a new way of estimating size and frequency of meteorite impacts. Now that this will help us actually avoid it, but hey, if we can’t avoid it I guess we might as well know how many of us are going to die.

Lifehacker has posted a way to add music and movies to your iPod from any computer without Itunes.

“This week I’ll show you how to free yourself from the one computer, one music library shackles of iTunes using alternative software for managing the iPod. When you’re done here, you’ll be able to add music and movies to your iPod from any computer – and retain almost every other useful feature iTunes brings to your iPod.”

I’ve not tried it, so let me know if it’s any good. Itunes is such a resource hog.

Deimos steps down, but Demonoid back?

Deimos, the administrator of popular torrent tracker, Demoniod, has stepped down from his position as admin but not without place another admin in his place.

“Hello Everyone,

It is with great sadness (and not a little relief) that I announce that I will be stepping down as admin of Demonoid, with effect from today.
Demonoid is currently suffering from a number of things, prime amongst these being my distraction with real-world issues, and so I have handed the reins over to a new administrator – a close friend of mine, which I trust completely and has the knowledge and time to take care of the site.

He will, in due course, be making his own announcements about the future of Demonoid. Of course, speculation over the future of the site is fun, but it is ultimately fruitless – you will all, in the near future, become aware of what the future holds. I trust that you will all give your support to the new admin as he finds his feet while he resurrects Demonoid.

“Welcome back!

Since a few months ago, Deimos, the site administrator, lacks the necessary time to take care of the website, because of personal matters he’s been needing to attend to. For this reason, he has decided to leave the site staff.

Before leaving, he assigned a new site administrator from among his friends to take care of the site. The old moderator team will continue helping with the site, unchanged. We will try to keep running everything just as it always has been.

The trackers and website seem to be working properly, and should any issues arise, they will be taken care of as soon as possible. The site might be going on and offline over the next days as we work out any problems.

Hubble site has up five hundred and ninety nine(599) images captured by the Hubble satellite. That’s way to much to go through but they are beautiful and definitely a site to see with images like this.

Mike Chin over at Silent PC Review wrote an article, “Hard Drive Silencing: Sandwiches & Suspensions,” explaining how to stop those vibrating sounds coming from your hard drive. Personally I don’t have this problem. Now when they find out how I can easily silence my power supplies.. then I’ll be excited. Still yet, this is a great idea. Good thinking!
